"Youth Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Georgia," is a project of "Business Consulting Network Georgia", the Association of Young Economists of Georgia’s (AYEG) subsidiary’s. The project is funded by Estonian Foreign Ministry and the US State Department. Last year, the project had 14 business plans funded. Among them was project „ Production of agro products“
„I first learned about the project from my friend. In 2013, we established the company APG and started production of agricultural products: cucumber, tomatoes, green salad, pepper, broccoli and etc. Because of the sessional production of agro products our supply was not sustainable. We did not have the financial resources to make a greenhouse. So we decided to participate in the project and in case of funding make a greenhouse for green salad. Business grant significantly changed our business, now we can supply our customers with green salad all year. Currently we have 3 permanent and 10 temporary employees (among them 7 women).
I would advise young people who are planning to launch their own business to count properly all the details to ensure its profitability and only after that start it.”
