ASSOCIATION OF YOUNG ECONOMISTS GEORGIA
On the November 27, 2014 was held the presentation of the survey results by the Women Information Centre (WIC) in partnership with the Association of Young Economists of Georgia and the support of the Asian Development Bank.
The study included trends of the sexual harassment cases in the subway stations, in this regard identification of the existing problems and the elimination of the recommendations.
During the presentation, were presented the survey results for 14 subway stations, as well as the in-depth interviewees held with the representatives of the women's rights and violence against women organizations. The survey results showed that 45% of the respondents of the subway has become a victim of sexual harassment.
The representatives of the non-governmental organizations as well as the state structures attended the presentation.
The discussion was held after the presentation of the survey results. The importance of the conducted survey was underlined by the attendants.
