Ensuring the transparency at Georgian customs

The aim of the project:

To promote state border crossing procedures related legislation, also to develop the information data-base about the exporter and importer entrepreneurs.

In the scopes of the project a guidebook “How to Cross the State Border of Georgia” was elaborated for the dissemination of the information about the state border crossing procedures widely.

The guidebook contains the information about the border and customs checkpoints, customs clearance sites, the documents required by the law, import, export and transit customs regimes, as well as the border crossing-related taxes and fees.

The Database containing the information about over 800 importers and exporters was also developed.  The guidebook was prepared in Georgian, Russian and English languages. The guidebook was disseminated among more than 1500 entrepreneurs and individuals for free.

Within the project also was created a database containing information about more than 800 exporting and importing entrepreneurs.
