ASSOCIATION OF YOUNG ECONOMISTS GEORGIA
The Association of Young Economists of Georgia follows its key values and philosophy with honor. Each year has been very important for the organization since its establishment. On April 25, 1989, when the AYEG was established, non-governmental sector was at the initial stage of its development. The AYEG made significant contribution to the formulation of market economy principals and development of new type of economic thinking.
The environment is changing, the economy is developing and so is the professional team of the AYEG, being ready to take new initiatives. AYEG reacts to the environmental changes with its creative approach to the issues to be addressed.
Presently, AYEG is implementing activities throughout the country. The scope of its activities is diversified and includes the topics like Support to Business Climate Improvement, Support to democracy Building and Economic Reforms, and Support to Professional Growth of young economist.
As of 2014 The AYEG has implemented over 100 projects focusing on research and analysis, monitoring, awareness raising, business support, lawmaking, consulting, etc.
AYEG started its Economic Education Program (EEP). Presently, more then 5, 000 persons are annually attending different courses.

Business Consulting Network Georgia (BCNG) was established to serve Georgian SME sector in business consulting, business training and marketing research. More then 50 publications were prepared. AYEG cooperated with different ministries: Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Affairs, etc.

AYEG has more then 15 professionals actively working on the trends that fall under AYEG priorities, such as business climate improvement, democratic governance and economic reforms, and professional growth of young economists.

AYEG is expanding the delivery of business development services in Georgia.
AYEG is expanding the delivery of business development services in Georgia. Also, significant work is done for developing the private health care institutions, supporting cross-border cooperation and increasing the accountability of state budget.
AYEG prepared more than 60 communities based local economic development plans and support the institutional development of other CSOs.

AYEG works with its partners for institutional development of local governances, to develop the agriculture cooperatives, women economic empowerment, etc.

AYEG conducts various subject researches. Also, for youth special programs are implemented e.g. “Debates on the Economics”.
During 2015, AYEG funded 27 Business Project, total grant amount was 194 500 USD; within the ongoing and finished projects we trained more than 1000 beneficiaries;

Also for youth special programs are implemented for e.g. Economic Debates.
